Tip #3: Offer Employee Incentive Programs
Employee incentive programs are designed to engage and retain talent. Incentives themselves are rewards that are used to motivate positive behaviors.
Research out of Cornell University showed that immediate rewards increase intrinsic motivation by linking an activity and a goal, so employees rewarded more frequently are more motivated to complete associated tasks.
Incentive programs can come in different forms, and there are many examples that have been proven to engage and motivate employees. The examples include bonuses, extra paid time off, flexible scheduling, team retreats, and gift cards. There is no limit to the range of incentives that an agency can introduce to their caregivers.
